The challenge
Uganda is home to more than 1.5 million refugees, and for young people in Kampala's urban slums, jobs and opportunities are scarce. Young refugees are eager to support themselves, yet they are often treated as a burden and left on the margins of their host communities. Lazima turns that around: instead of waiting for outside help, young refugees and Ugandans create their own solutions.
